Sorry for the absence yesterday, but we were driving from Los Angeles to El Paso. I love car trips, love to see the country, especially after living in the city. It is so freeing to just get on the open road and drive.
And when there is good music on the radio, there is nothing better – okay, maybe running, but give me some ’70s music and open highway, and the drive becomes one big concert opportunity (yes, my kids wear earplugs).
I kept looking off into the distance and seeing trails. Do people ever run them?
So, we drove and drove. And drove.
And I realized, not for the first time, there is nothing between California and Texas except desert.
And more desert.
And a couple of towns that specialize in Meth production.
And then some more desert.
And then we were home.
Still desert, but it’s MY desert.
And it has water, and trees, and mountains. Sigh.

I know, there is NOTHING between TX and West Coast. Driving to NM next weekend surely looks exciting:)
Yes, Olga, you will have a very exciting drive – West Texas is just as desolate 🙂 Hope you’re going to a pretty part of New Mexico!
