I’m only writing this post so that I can avoid going out for a run. Coffee in bed just seems like such a better idea. And I know I’m being totally lame because I don’t even have to do a long run since I’m tapering. I actually only need to do a very short run, a pointless run. It’s not even like I will gain anything from this run since it’s only a week until my race. In fact, the only benefit this run will give me is to keep me loose. Okay, and keep me from scalping someone. Okay, and keep me from eating all 35 salted caramel brownies I made yesterday and washing them down with a bottle of Chardonnay. Okay, and keep me from writing stuff in stream-of-consciousness-annoying-forms-of-sentences that will make you want to stab yourself in the retina after reading it. I would hate that. I want you safe.
Fine. I will go run. But remember I’m doing this for you.

HaHa!! I hope the run worked out OK!!! Not gonna lie, I love to see you write about not really being motivated to go run – makes me feel a little better on those days that I just have zero desire to run since you are a running superstar!!!

Thanks, Kim! It was so warm in my bed this morning, and so wet and cold outside. Okay, after reading your blog I realize that it was only 40 degree-cold, but that counts. Really.
