I have not bought a single gift for Christmas, yet. Ugh. I’m the worst Christmas shopper EVER.
First of all, I hate shopping.
Second, I have to have everything shipped to Texas and that just seems like a lot of organization – a skill set I don’t possess. I realize there is a new thing called the internet where I can buy all my presents and then tiny elves will mail them all to my desired destination. But the one time I tried that, one of my sons ended up with an ant farm with 6000 DEAD ants and Hubz got a subscription to Maxim (okay, I’m rethinking who to blame for that one ).
Third, I have twin teenage sons who want EVERYTHING and NOTHING. What happened to the days when a couple of Thomas the Tank Engines and some LEGOS solved every problem? Now, I feel like a complete dolt just getting on a technology site. What the heck is a “liquid cooling system” anyway? And what in the world needs cooling so bad that it has to have it’s own “system”? Really, why can’t they just be happy with something I understand – like socks. Or underwear.
Fourth, Hubz doesn’t want me to spend a lot of money on him – but wants something COOL. Hmmm…will the Le Creuset dutch oven I just bought myself work?
Fifth, how do you solve a problem like Maria? Yes, with all the songs from Sound of Music Live playing through my head EVERY SECOND, I cannot think straight to shop responsibly. Thanks, NBC. This is all your fault.
Have you done all your shopping? If you have, feel free to let me know so I can feel worse. Oh, and then you can help me do mine! 🙂
Happy Running (and Shopping)!

I haven’t done a single bit of shopping – I don’t even have lists of what I’m getting – I’m at ground zero on this one and have very little motivation for some reason (usually I love Christmas shopping!).

I’ve shopped quite a bit and almost everything I’ve gotten has been for me. Hahaha! A Le Creuset dutch oven is the bomb. Mandatory. You NEEEEED it.
I feel better, Kim. I thought it was just me 🙂
Marcia, I just wish Hubz was as into Le Creuset as I am 🙂
I haven’t done my shopping either. Okay, I’ve done little bits but I’ve got most of it still to go and I have no idea – absolutely none – and even less incentive to get it all done. I’m thinking that cash in an envelope isn’t too bad an option if worst comes to worst.

Cash is always good, Char. I may be in the same boat.
