But I was selected for the El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame!
I’m so excited and honored I can hardly stand it! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be in ANY Hall of Fame, let alone the Athletic Hall of Fame. I just wanted to be a Mousketeer!
Thanks so much to Kevin Lovell, general manager of KVIA – ABC TV, in El Paso, for nominating me!

Congratulations! Well deserved recognition. You are not bragging but even if you did you would be entitled to do it. You have done a great job at representing the US internationally, and by extension El Paso! Time to get started on the induction ceremony speech:)
You should be proud and excited! You certainly deserve the recognition with all you have accomplished and continue to strive for. You continue to be an inspiration to me. I just wish I would have had enough perseverance to have stuck with running 30 years ago when it would have been a whole lot easier to build up my base to run a marathon. Enough said: its people like you who keep me positive and plugging away.
Thank you, Luis! I really am over the moon about it! And thanks for all those “Death March” runs you put me through! 🙂
Kent, thank you so much! I think we all inspire each other. Every time you comment, it reminds me that I need to keep working at it – even when I don’t want to get up at 4:30. Thanks for inspiring me today!
Sounds like a wonderful – and deserving – honor. Congratulations!
Thanks so much, Anne!
Who else should be there, what do you mean you never dreamt of such thing? Heck, yeah!
Thank you, Olga!
Congrats Carilyn! That is such a huge honor. I can’t think of anyone more deserving. Go you!
Thanks so much, Marcia!
