Please Forgive the Bragging…

But I was selected for the El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame!

I’m so excited and honored I can hardly stand it! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be in ANY Hall of Fame, let alone the Athletic Hall of Fame. I just wanted to be a Mousketeer!

Thanks so much to Kevin Lovell, general manager of KVIA – ABC TV, in El Paso, for nominating me!

You have done a great job at representing the US internationally, and by extension El Paso! Time to get started on the induction ceremony speech:)

You continue to be an inspiration to me. I just wish I would have had enough perseverance to have stuck with running 30 years ago when it would have been a whole lot easier to build up my base to run a marathon. Enough said: its people like you who keep me positive and plugging away.
