I need some serious coffee this morning! I have a Core class, then spin class, then am working on the new book. Not sure that is much of an adventure. Hmmmm, I might have to come up with something adventurous! Have fun at the race…..xox

This weekend is full of taking my kids to ju- jitsu, cleaning house, going over school work and cooking. On the fun side I have awesome workouts planned including going on a very long bike ride by the most beautiful scenery by myself while listening to good music and planning a special date night tonight for my hard working hubby after the kids go to bed.

I’m sitting at the pool waiting for my daughter’s swim meet to start, the same way we do so many weekends! So proud of her! And my hubby is on the other side of the state with my son, waiting for his karate tournament to start. So proud of him too!

LaToya Tingle February 25, 2012 at 6:07 am

Today is actually my birthday. All of my family members and close friends canceled on me so I am just going to dress up really fancy, with make-up and a pretty dress. Then I will make dinner and curl up with one of my romance novels that I have been neglecting because of my school/work load. 🙂 I’m excited.

dyan smith February 25, 2012 at 6:17 am

Rusti February 25, 2012 at 6:29 am

my “adventures” this weekend include finishing up my husband’s Curriculum Vitae & packing for him while he’s at work so he’s ready to leave for Narcotics Training in Phoenix for a week, combined with clearing out and organizing our guest room/office to get it ready to paint and turn into a Big Girl room for our toddler and get her room ready for Baby #2… not very exciting, but such is life for this deputy’s wife and toddler’s momma 🙂 too bad the weekend is so short, I’m already dreading having to get up for work on Monday 😉

I am taking my 7 yr old daughter to Charlestown Laanding in charleston, sc. Then we are meeting her soccer club at Blackbaud Stadium for a MLS double header. Sunday we are going to lunch at the Noisy Oyster for calamari ( he favorite) then off to the SC Aquarium before heading back to Beaufort! The perfect mother-daughter weekend. 😉

My plans for the weekend include a movie with my niece and nephew, a walk with the dogs, a trip to the gym and the joy of studying for a certification exam. Might even go wild and throw in some laundry.

Mary Doherty February 25, 2012 at 7:30 am

Babysitting my sweet little granddaughter today and helping my niece and her family move into their new house. Sunday still helping with the moving and making a birthday dinner for my son in law.

Kris Samples February 25, 2012 at 7:41 am

This is the weekends I love…I have all the kids at home. We play games, run around doing errands, and have a big family supper tonight. It is like a tornado has hit the house when Sunday evening comes but it is worth it to have all the family together.
There are 6 of us in this blended family. My 3 stepkids, my son and my husband and I. I am blessed to have found my husband and his kids.
Good Weekend to All-

Carrie Evans February 25, 2012 at 7:48 am

I’m having decluttering my house, having lunch with friends while my husband takes the boys to the museum for Engineering day, then sanding and painting a new piano table. Tomorrow, the kids are singing at church and we have a wrestling banquet to attend. It’s not very adventuresome, but it is life with 5 kids!

Harriet Goldberg February 25, 2012 at 7:57 am

I have a few knitting projects to wrap up and I want to start/finish a library book. My husband and I will eat out and visit our favorite Barnes & Noble Booksellers for some wonderful coffee, reading, and relaxation.

Sandy Y February 25, 2012 at 8:13 am

I’m spending the weekend sick. 🙁 I was supposed to go to the gym and then to get my hair cut, but I still haven’t dragged my butt out of bed.

Dean Young February 25, 2012 at 8:16 am

I work in a psych hospital and it was a TOUGH week. A coworker was found dead, at home… he was the nicest man, always up beat and positive, going to miss him a lot. I was helping out on another unit where a pt with a serious debilitating disease was needing serious medical care but refusing, lots of drama with staff and the patient. And I have a husband who is recovering from back surgery, so care-giving is 24/7 with no relief in sight.
I love special coffees as my special treat, to keep me going and somewhat sane.

kiki winn February 25, 2012 at 8:26 am

My plan was to just go to my favorite bookstore and go for walk around my neighborhood. Like anything in life things change. I will also be taking my son to batting cages to practices hitting and pitching. Later today we will go see a neighboring High School baseball team scrimmage against another school.

Monica Hudson February 25, 2012 at 9:24 am

It is snowy and blowy here today and possible tomorrow so my exciting plans are to stay home, wrapped in a warm blanket, have a great endless pot of steaming coffee and divide my time with an old movie and a good book I have been eyeing.

jennifer bernard February 25, 2012 at 10:28 am

My weekend will be spent cleaning up our property after a fire. We have waited a few months to see if any of our pine trees will survive. We will be cutting and stacking a lot of wood this weekend.

Kids’ activities: tennis, soccer (victory, six to zero, would have been worse but for the mercy rule), baseball (thank goodness for the mercy rule – on the other end of it this time at 16 to 3), more tennis, more soccer (score to be determined this morning), baseball practice (might be a long one in light of the thrashing), friend’s house for science project, math project, and I’m sure we forgot something; ostensible adult activities – gelato (plum, chocolate-orange, and goat’s milk with cocoa nibs (sounds iffy, tastes great)), swim (Theresa), run 20 miler — bailed at 18.5 to make soccer, run some more (Theresa and Rob), swim some more (Theresa — aiming for a tri) host parents visiting from NY (roast beast! better run even more), and … coffee throughout (thank goodness for Theresa’s gift for 50th — the Jura Ena 9, a one touch espresso/cappuccino maker, the greatest invention since the coffee bean). Oh, and the dog says she has been promised a hike — better hit the coffee button again;)

Julie February 26, 2012 at 3:55 pm

Showering this weekend… Bridal and baby showers that is. Just picked up one of your books this week and used book store and loved it. That’s how I find new authors.
